CEDP L2/L3 Dashboard

The CEDP L2/L3 Dashboard provides visibility into Level 2 and Level 3 data penetration and savings across your payment portfolio. It surfaces how much of your transaction volume qualifies for L2/L3 interchange rates, what the resulting savings look like versus potential, and allows you to drill into the underlying data through configurable pivot tables.

Submitting L2 and L3 enrichment data on eligible transactions can unlock lower interchange rates. This dashboard helps identify where that opportunity exists and tracks whether it is being captured.

Equivalent of the L2/L3 Optimization dashboard.

This dashboard displays sales transactions from Mastercard and Visa that are eligible for L2/L3 enhanced data processing. Adjust the Eligible L2/L3 filter to view non-eligible transactions.

L2 & L3 Penetration (Combo Chart)

This chart shows L2 and L3 sales volume alongside penetration rates over time, using a dual-axis layout.

  • Left Y-Axis: Sales volume ($) — covers Actual L2 Sales and Actual L3 Sales as area/bars

  • Right Y-Axis: Penetration rate (%) — covers L2 Penetration and L3 Penetration as lines

  • X-Axis: Date (configurable via Date Granularity: Y / Q / M / W / D — defaults to Monthly)

  • Legend: Actual L2 Sales, Actual L3 Sales, L2 Penetration, L3 Penetration

Use this chart to understand what share of your total sales volume is being submitted with L2 or L3 data, and how that rate is trending over time. A low or declining penetration rate signals missed interchange savings opportunity.

L2 & L3 Savings (Stacked Bar Chart)

This chart compares actual savings realized against potential savings still available from L2/L3 data submission.

  • Y-Axis: Dollar savings ($)

  • X-Axis: Date (configurable via Date Granularity: Y / Q / M / W / D — defaults to Monthly)

  • Legend: Dynamically shows "Actual L2 Savings / Potential L2 Savings" or "Actual L3 Savings / Potential L3 Savings" based on the Type selection

Description

Group columns

Up to 8 configurable dimensions as row groupings (e.g., Acquirer → MID → Card Brand).

Monthly columns

Selected Measure values for each month in the date range, displayed side by side for trend comparison.

Expand to additional group levels when you need to pinpoint exactly which acquirer, MID, and card brand combinations have the lowest L2/L3 penetration.

Use as Filter

Any cell value in the pivot tables or any element in the charts can be used as a cross-dashboard filter. To apply:

  1. Right-click on any cell value or chart segment

  2. Select Use as Filter from the context menu

  3. The entire dashboard — both charts and tables — will update to reflect that selection

To remove the filter and return to the full view, click the Revert Use as Filter button in the top right corner of the dashboard.

This is useful for quickly drilling into a specific acquirer, MID, or card brand across all components at once without manually adjusting each control.

Filtering Tips

Use the Filters button at the top right to narrow the dashboard:

  • Date Period: Defaults to the last 13 months including the current month — adjust to focus on a specific period

  • Eligible L2/L3: Defaults to eligible transactions only — switch to include non-eligible transactions

  • Funding Method: Switch between Settled (default) and Conveyed data

  • Date Granularity: Switch from Monthly to Quarterly or Yearly for a higher-level view

Use Case Example:

"We want to find out which of our MIDs have the lowest L2/L3 penetration and estimate how much we could save by improving submission rates."

  • Check the L2 & L3 Penetration chart — identify months where penetration rates are low or declining

  • Review the L2 & L3 Savings chart to quantify the gap between Actual and Potential savings over the same period

  • In the Detail Pivot Table, add a third group (e.g., MID : DBA Name) under the default Acquirer → MOP grouping — sort by L2 Penetration or L3 Penetration to surface the lowest-performing accounts

  • Right-click any low-performing MID row and select Use as Filter to instantly scope all charts to that account

  • Click Revert Use as Filter when done to return to the full portfolio view

  • Use these MIDs as the target list for L2/L3 enrichment enablement with your acquirer or processor
